The snagiteditor.exe process is an executable file integrated with the DLL components, system drivers and other program files that are used by the SnagIt software, which is a Windows program classified as a screen capture tool designed by TechSmith with a set of functions for selecting and capturing sections of images, the Windows desktop, browser windows or Web pages, videos, program GUIs (Graphical User Interfaces) and dialogue boxes as snapshots. The snagiteditor.exe process is specifically deployed as the executable dispatcher file of the SnagIt Editor module, which is an applet built into the SnagIt software, and this applet can allow users to make edits to snapshots taken with the use of the SnagIt program, such as image resizing, cropping and stretching among other editing functions. The snagiteditor.exe process is implemented into SnagIt installer distribution packages, which also means the snagiteditor.exe file is installed in the system upon the installation of the SnagIt program.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. snagiteditor.exe. is used by SnagIt and SnagIt Editor Module, If you shut down snagiteditor.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop snagiteditor.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is SnagIt and SnagIt Editor Module, from your system.
