The file smwizard.exe, known as SmartWizard MFC Application, belongs to software SmartWizard Application by C-Media Electronics. The company C-Media Electronics manufactures processors for PC audio and USB storage, and wireless audio devices. The process filesmwizard.exe relates to the audio chipsets from C-Media Electronics that has been installed in the motherboard of the computer. It is a component of the audio device driver that is installed in the computer together with the sound card. The chipsets are typically found in a computer sound card, and is the hardware assembly that contains the circuitry for a sound card. It refers to the specifications used to build that particular model of chip. The manufacturer that made the audio chip is not necessarily the manufacturer that made the computer or sound card that contains the chip. To identify the manufacturer of an audio chipset used in the computer, either the user should look for a sticker on the hardware or a manufacturer's name etched into the chip.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. smwizard.exe. is used by SmartWizard Application, If you shut down smwizard.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop smwizard.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is SmartWizard Application, from your system.
