The shell32.exe process is specifically implemented as one of the components of the Software Protection Tool module, which is an applet built into the The Enigma Protector software. This means the The Enigma Protector program may activate the shell32.exe process in order to load the Software Protection Tool module and implement its functionalities into the system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. shell32.exe. is used by The Enigma Protector and The Enigma Protector Software Protection Tool Module, If you shut down shell32.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop shell32.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is The Enigma Protector and The Enigma Protector Software Protection Tool Module, from your system.
