The sfdrv01.sys process is a component system file included with the other program files, system drivers and modular DLL components that are needed by the StarForce Protection System software, which is a program classified as a copy protection application that is bundled with certain video games designed for Windows-based computers. The sfdrv01.sys file is packaged with the installer distributions of these video games, which also means the sfdrv01.sys process is installed in the system upon the installation of the associated video game software. The sfdrv01.sys file is specifically implemented as a component of certain modules that are used and referenced by the StarForce Protection System software whenever it needs to implement particular functions that correspond to those modules into the system.
