What is  scm.exe

Scm.exe is also known as the Service Control Manager for Microsoft SQL Server. After the user boots his or her computer, the Microsoft Windows operating system will start and automatically scm.exe will execute and launch the Microsoft SQL Server application. Microsoft SQL Server is a database management which includes a lot of system processes. It is an analysis tool that allows organizations to handle business data and business knowledge. Through scm.exe, Microsoft SQL Server can provide managerial employees with information that they can use in their businesses and make them more competitive.
