The scheduler_proxy.exe file is the executable process driver for the Lenovo Utilities Scheduler, the scheduling application software in Lenovo Utilities developed by IBM for ThinkVantage Technologies. The scheduler_proxy.exe process is designed to run schedule-defined repetitive tasks based on calendar event conditions. The software Lenovo Utilities Scheduler is becoming known as Workload Automation, an industry term for scheduling applications. This is programmed by the blue button in the Productivity Center of the ThinkVantage laptop computer. The blue button handles two operational functions: the Automatic and the Manual modes. Both options provide IBM laptops with system updates similar to Microsoft Windows Update. These tools provide enhanced set up and maintenance to the ThinkVantage computers. Scheduling by Automatic mode downloads available updates without installing. Scheduling by Manual mode sorts out available updates and works like the computer intelligently knows which updates to download and install in the system, as it connects to Lenovo technical support to obtain software updates, drivers, and utilities.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. scheduler_proxy.exe. is used by TVT Scheduler_proxy Application, If you shut down scheduler_proxy.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop scheduler_proxy.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is TVT Scheduler_proxy Application, from your system.
