Developed by Microsoft Corporation, scan2pc.exe is the executable file to ScanToPc MFC Application. MFC or Microsoft Foundation Class Library is a group of programs containing handle-managed objects that function as pre-defined Windows program controls. These objects are used for creating and building applications, also called Classes. These Classes are written or programmed in the C++ language. In other words, these classes are pre-defined Windows program controls. MFC wraps Windows API portions in C++ language which includes the functionality for enabling them to use default application framework. The importance of this is that MFC Library helps save the programmer time as it provides code that is already written. MFC also provides a complete framework for the development of the application program. The classes contained in the MFC Library are elements for graphical user interface such as windows, menus, frames, tool bars, status bars, etc. which are the tools for building database interfaces and for handling tasks such as messages coming from all other applications and for handling all mouse and keyboard input, as well as creating ActiveX controls.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. scan2pc.exe. is used by MFC Application, If you shut down scan2pc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop scan2pc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is MFC Application, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as MFC Application, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.

The first thing you should do if scan2pc.exe. is causing errors on your computer is to run a Windows registry scan with Registry Reviver If you are still seeing errors after this you should uninstall the program that scan2pc.exe, belongs to, in this case MFC Application
