What is  savedump.exe

Developed by Microsoft, SaveDump.exe is the process file for NT Memory Dump, an application for writing memory to a paging file, where after rebooting gets saved as a file called Memory. This software is uniquely and exclusively designed for computers using a Microsoft operating system, otherwise the SaveDump.exe application will not work as only Microsoft could decipher the saved information or file. Consequently, SaveDump.exe will sometimes significantly hinder the booting up properly of the computer, especially if that particular computer is a server that is connected to some services that may refuse to start. SaveDump.exe itself may sometimes fail to terminate automatically, and will cause significant performance degradation as it continues running. In the like situations Microsoft recommends disabling the "Save Dump" application in the following method: 1) Click Start, and select to click Run. 2) Type DRWTSN32 to the blank field, and press Enter. 3) Uncheck all the options displayed on the screen. 4) Click OK. 5) Reboot the computer.
