Known by the service name s3contrl, the s3tray2.exe file is Windows process that is a part of S3 Graphics Utilities software, a product created by S3 Graphics, Inc. This module is a component of a tool that is bundled along with the various drivers of S3 Video output device. Considered as a S3 Video card task tray utility, and also a driver for Savage S3 video card, it is designed to provide access to diagnostics and extra configurations. In addition, the s3tray2.exe file is digitally signed by Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher through VeriSign Time Stamping Service, which makes it genuinely compatible with Microsoft Windows operating systems, including later versions, such as Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. To add more, this file is able to execute other processes that can complete the different functions of S3 Graphics Utilities. This suggests that the file has to remain working and running on the computer to enable all these tasks.
