The process that is commonly known as Office Startup Application is part of Microsoft Office software, specifically Office 97 and Office 2000. The file’s sole responsibility is to enable Office applications to launch upon startup. This way, Office applications will load faster when they are accessed by the user. However, most users find that launching Office applications upon system boot-up is unnecessary. The file was actually found to cause system loading issues, hence; the general consensus of users is to disable the file from loading every time the system boots. On the other hand, there were reports by a few users that they had trouble accessing their Office applications with the osa9.exe file disabled.
