The ntrayfw.exe file is an executable component process deployed by the NVIDIA Firewall software, which is an application packaged with certain NVIDIA hardware components and devices. The NVIDIA Firewall application and the ntrayfw.exe process are bundled with the firmware and driver software distributions of these supported hardware devices from NVIDIA. The ntrayfw.exe process is specifically implemetned as one of the program files of certain modules that are built into the NVIDIA Firewall software, and the ntrayfw.exe process is activated by the NVIDIA Firewall program whenever it needs to load the functionalities of those associated modules unto the system. Upon execution, the ntrayfw.exe process calls on other program files and references modular system resources as well as application-specific modules in order to implement the requested functionalities of the NVIDIA Firewall program into the system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ntrayfw.exe. is used by NVIDIA Firewall, If you shut down ntrayfw.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ntrayfw.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is NVIDIA Firewall, from your system.
