The process known as nsfx.exe is associated with Netsweeper Parental Controls created by Netsweeper. The main function of Netsweeper is to provide the user with a complete Web content filtering, threat detection management and solutions. It is usually classified as a parental control software, as the developers believe that parents would be the primary customers for this software. While this is true, the clientele of Netsweeper has vastly expanded and also includes companies like Telcos, Schools and Educational Institutions. Web content filtering consists of monitoring web activity. A designated administrator will configure the settings and assign certain classifications of websites, as triggered by keywords or themes. This administrator can choose to restrict access or simply be informed if any of those classified websites have been accessed.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. nsfx.exe. is used by Netsweeper Parental Controls by Netsweeper, If you shut down nsfx.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop nsfx.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Netsweeper Parental Controls by Netsweeper, from your system.
