The file nmsaccess.exe, known as CDBurnerXP, belongs to software CD Burner XP Pro (version 3) from Free Software, which is free disc authoring application. It has the capability to for burn CDs and DVDs, including HD-DVDs and Blu-ray. The user has the option to burn CDs with or without gaps between tracks, and data verification can be done after each burning process. CDBurner XP enables users to burn playlists, backup data, and create rescue disks like one-on-one permanent copies of original discs on M-disks that can preserve data for a long time. This software has the capability to burn data on CD-R, CD-RW, DVD + R, DVD +RW, DVD-RAM, HD-DVD, and double layer mediums. Users can create audio CDs in different formats like WAV, OGG, MP3, FLAC, APE, and MPC, import M3U or WPL playlists and Nero audio compilations (NRA), and export audio compilations as M3U playlist and cue sheet. It can burn ISO files to CD, create bin and nrg files to ISO, and save CDs and DVDs as ISO file to disk. This software supports most IDE, SCSI, Firewire, and USB drives.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. nmsaccess.exe. is used by CDBurnerXP, If you shut down nmsaccess.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop nmsaccess.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is CDBurnerXP, from your system.
