The driver for your Nikon camera installs with it an application with an executable file of nkmonitor.exe. This application is commonly known as Nikon Monitor. The application’s basic function is to ensure that your camera is properly connected to the PC via a USB port. Once the computer recognizes your camera, you can begin to access your files, transfer photos and videos from your Nikon device to your PC. The file automatically launches when you open your PC t launch Windows. However, you do not necessarily have to launch the file with every startup. You can choose to terminate the process and enable only when you will be connecting your camera to the PC. The file has an average size of 468 KB. Users have not reported the file as giving them system issues, especially virus or malware intrusions.
