National Instrument made a process called nimxs.exe and is a file from NIPALSM which is owned by National Instrument. This program is user invoked process and is usually a part of Personal Computer (PC) operations. Nimxs.exe is usually located in C:\Program Files\ and has a known file size of 12,696 but may vary in different Operating System such as Window XP and Window 7. This program is an executable file but has no known window or any user interface whether it be Graphical User Interface (GUI) or Command Line Interface (CLI). This process may be uninstalled by removing the NI MXS program in the "Add/Remove" located in the Control Panel for Microsoft Windows user. The latest version or this program is 2.1.1.49152 running in Windows 7 and can be easily located in the task manager if activated. The user may have the choice to remove the process to speed up the Central Processing Unit (CPU).
How can I stop nimxs.exe and should I?
Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. nimxs.exe. is used by NIPALSM, If you shut down nimxs.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop nimxs.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is NIPALSM, from your system.
