The process nhostsvc.exe, described as NetOp Helper Service for Windows NT, is a process file from the company Danware Data A/S. This digitally signed file is associated with the NetOp Remote Control software for Windows NT. Two remote control software are employed in this application to enable users to view and access devices remotely. These are the Guest software that is installed on the user's computer, and the Host software that is installed on the target machine. Once installed, the user can access many devices at the same time. The user can run updates, or multiple users can access the same device for collaborative problem solving and troubleshooting. In a large organization, NetOp0 Remote Control enables IT staff to troubleshoot a problem, run updates, or assist an end-user in certain tasks. The capability to track remote sessions, monitor activities and keep centralized records narrow possibilities for security breach.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. nhostsvc.exe. is used by NetOp Remote Control, If you shut down nhostsvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop nhostsvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is NetOp Remote Control, from your system.
