The mxtask.exe file is a process that is a part of the V Communications Fix-It utilities program, which main function is to protect, maintain, and manage the stability of the computer. As a background process, the mxtask.exe file has the ability to detect and scan problems, even potential ones, of the computer, and eliminate all those before it can cause worse damage. Other than those tasks, this file process monitor different applications and system resources, diagnose the computer system hardware, recover lost files and other data, and tune the system registry. Among the resources of the computer system monitored by the file are the USB, Firewire, DVD drives, and network cards for PCDiagnostics. This process automatically starts once the Windows system is turned on, but quietly runs without a visible window to do its functions. It is located in this particular subfolder c:\Program Files amounting to a total size of 184320 bytes.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. mxtask.exe. is used by V Communications Fix-It Utilities, If you shut down mxtask.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop mxtask.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is V Communications Fix-It Utilities, from your system.
