Located inside the drivers folder, which is inside the System32 folder of the Windows Operating System, the size of this driver commonly ranges from 5,100 - 5,400 bytes and is also known as MS Proxy Clock. This driver is responsible for the connection of the computer to any connected peripheral, such as devices and hardware that may be needed mainly for the video and multi-media output of an application. It runs only in the background of the operating system and other applications that aid in the multi-media functionalities of any program that may be executed in the Windows system. Malware infection or corruption of this file may cause programs to crash or Windows to malfunction altogether because this is a system component generally responsible for running Microsoft DirectX.
