The msksrver.exe file is an EXE application process that is implemented into the McAfee SpamKiller software, which is a Windows program designed with a set of features for monitoring emails and flagging unsolicited messages and emails from unknown or suspicious sources as spam. The msksrver.exe process assists the McAfee SpamKiller program in integrating its anti-spam monitoring and flagging functionalities into Windows-based systems and is activated whenever the McAfee SpamKiller software is loaded unto the system. The msksrver.exe process is specifically deployed as one of the EXE program files of the McAfee SpamKiller Msk Server module, which is an applet built into the McAfee SpamKiller program. The msksrver.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of the McAfee SpamKiller application, which also means the msksrver.exe process is included as one of the component files and libraries packaged into the installer distributions of the McAfee SpamKiller program.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. msksrver.exe. is used by McAfee SpamKiller and McAfee SpamKiller Msk Server Module, If you shut down msksrver.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop msksrver.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is McAfee SpamKiller and McAfee SpamKiller Msk Server Module, from your system.
