The mscsptisrv.exe file is an executable application process bundled as one of the components of the firmware utilities and device driver software resources that are bundled with certain Sony VAIO laptops, particularly those that are equipped with the Sony FeliCA reader/writer device, which is used to authenticate contactless RFID smart cards in order to verify online game and software purchases. The mscsptisrv.exe process is placed in the system upon the installation and configuration of these firmware utilities and drivers, which also means the mscsptisrv.exe file is included as one of the component files and libraries packaged into the installer distributions of these Sony FeliCA reader/writer devices, which are in turn bundled with the firmware components and driver software utilities of Sony VAIO laptops that are equipped with this device. The mscsptisrv.exe process is specifically deployed as an EXE application resource file of the OpenMG Secure module, which is an applet built into the firmware distributions and driver software packages of these Sony FeliCA reader/writer devices and Sony VAIO laptops.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. mscsptisrv.exe. is used by Sony FeliCA Reader/Writer Firmware/Driver Software and Sony FeliCA OpenMG Secure Module, If you shut down mscsptisrv.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop mscsptisrv.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Sony FeliCA Reader/Writer Firmware/Driver Software and Sony FeliCA OpenMG Secure Module, from your system.
