What is  msconfig32.exe

The msconfig32.exe process is an executable file that has been classified by some user reports as a malicious program disguised as a legitimate Windows system process. The same user reports claim that the msconfig32.exe process creates and injects keys and entries into the Windows System Registry, in order for the infected system to allow the msconfig32.exe process to automatically initialize during system startup, and the msconfig32.exe process performs these procedures after its successful placement and activation in the Windows-based computer. A few users state that the msconfig32.exe process is also integrated with functionalities that can find system vulnerabilities and exploit these unprotected components to initiate contact with remote servers that are most likely operated and managed by the authors of the msconfig32.exe malware. The same users said these system vulnerabilities are mostly unsecure TCP/IP network ports and outdated Web browsers. Upon establishing communication lines with those remote servers via these exploited TCP/IP network ports, the msconfig32.exe process has been reported to download more malicious programs unto the system and upload sensitive user data and Internet surfing information covertly gathered from the infected system and its default Web browser to those remote servers.
