The Notebook Maximizer application, which is a Windows program classified as a system settings and power management tool, uses the maximizer_startup.exe file. Certain Toshiba laptops are integrated with the Notebook Maximizer software, and this program uses the maximizer_startup.exe process as its executable program dispatcher file, which means users can load the Notebook Maximizer application unto the system by activating the maximizer_startup.exe process. The maximizer_startup.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of the firmware utilities and device driver software distributions that are bundled with these Toshiba laptops, which also means the maximizer_startup.exe proces is packaged into the installer distributions of these Toshiba firmware and driver software components, and the Notebook Maximizer application is included in these installer distribution packages as a bundled program. The Notebook Maximizer software is integrated with a set of features that can allow users to configure certain system and power management settings of their supported Toshiba laptops, in order to improve the overall performance of the system and the hardware components of their Toshiba laptops, as well as to save battery power.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. maximizer_startup.exe. is used by Toshiba Notebook Maximizer, If you shut down maximizer_startup.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop maximizer_startup.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Toshiba Notebook Maximizer, from your system.
