Developed by SourceForge Incorporated, mac.exe is the process file for MPEG Audio Collection, a software application designed to organize audio file collection with quick and easy to use method. It scans selected drivers of supported audio files while listing them in a view interface called the Explores style, where retrieval of audio file information becomes easy and manageable as well as playing files. The mac.exe process is loaded during Windows boot process and creates auto-run entries within the system registry while running in the background. MPEG Audio Collection supports audio formats MPEG Audio, WAV, MPEGplus, TwinVQ, and Windows Media Audio. It enables the user to adjust and equalize volumes, create playlists, collect and share audio and video files, as well as import audio files from another collection, and convert various formats according to preferences. New features include power tagger, a tag editor that supports writing of comments, naming playlists, and MP3 scanning.
