What is  keyhook.exe

There are two known brands of computer keyboards that is linked to the file keyhook.exe. One is the Super VGA Keyboard, and the other is Acer Multimedia keyboard. For both keyboards, what the file does is to allow users to use hotkeys on their keyboard, specifically to launch computer processes or programs such as launching your Web browser. Disabling the file will not compromise normal use of the keyboard in any way, but the user will no longer be able to utilize the hotkey functions. However, there have been recommendations by users and tech review sites, to disable the file because it slows down the boot-up process. On several occasions, too, not a few users also experienced errors during the startup process. The file is does not launch an integral process in any Windows core system files, thereby giving users the option of deciding whether to disable the file or keep it running in the background.
