The globalshortcut.dll file has an older version, and this is the kbdhook.dll module, which is used by the Logitech iTouch software for implementing keyboard shortcut configuration functionalities into the system with some supported Logitech keyboard products. The kbdhook.dll file is packaged with the Logitech cordless iTouch keyboard hook library module, and this DLL (Dynamic Link Library) file is referenced by the Logitech iTouch software to initialize and implement the functionalities of the Logitech iTouch cordless keyboard hook library module into the system. This allows users to configure custom keyboard shortcuts for specific applications, or set their own keyboard shortcut parameters as globalwide settings. The kbdhook.dll module, the Logitech iTouch software and the Logitech iTouch cordless keyboard hook library module are implemented with support for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows and are bundled with the firmware and driver software components of certain Logitech keyboard devices.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. kbdhook.dll. is used by Logitech iTouch and Logitech iTouch Cordless Keyboard Hook Library Module, If you shut down kbdhook.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
