The process katrack.dll is an instance of a dynamic link library or DLL file, and is known by the service name KeyAccess Tracking Library for Win32, also known KeyAccess Tracking Library, which is a component of the software called Sassafras K2, and is created by the company Sassafras Software Inc. When the program that houses the module is downloaded onto the computer, the katrack.dll file is installed, stored on a file folder, and registered into the Windows registry. The katrack.dll file is not just a basic part of the application, but because it is digitally signed from Sassafras Software Inc. - VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer - G2, and compatible with most versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems,including Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME, it is considered an essential process to run in the background.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. katrack.dll. is used by Sassafras (version K2 Client, K2) or KeyServer Package, If you shut down katrack.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
