The EXE component html2pop3.exe is an executable file process of TrueCrypt, a freeware application developed by TrueCrypt Foundation that is used for on-the-fly encryption (OTFE) where it creates virtual encrypted disk within a file or encrypts a part or an entire storage device such as the hard drives and USB flash drives. It usually encrypts files and disk for Windows-operated systems and works automatically in real-time. The TrueCrypt application also has pipelining and parallelization functions to allow reading and writing the data as fast as if the driver is unencrypted. The html2pop3.exe executable file is specifically sited into the system upon the installation of the TrueCrypt application and run as the executable program core file, which holds specific instructions to read the TrueCrypt application by the system, direct use of TrueCrypt UI (User Interface) and support the functionalities of the application’s local/FTP placement and data backup through running the html2pop3.exe as one of the application background files.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. html2pop3.exe. is used by TrueCrypt, If you shut down html2pop3.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop html2pop3.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is TrueCrypt, from your system.
