The hsfhwazl.sys file is a system process that is used by the softK modem driver module, which is a component of the firmware and driver software resources of supported networking devices and modems from Conexant Systems. The softK modem driver module references the data stored in the hsfhwazl.sys file whenever the system or the user requests for access to the set of functionalities integrated into the Conexant Systems networking device or modem. The user can access these set of functionalities from the networking device or modem itself, from the firmware, driver software programs and applications bundled with the Conexant Systems networking device or modem, or from the system's integrated features for configuring the computer's network settings. The hsfhwazl.sys file is encoded with program logic compilation specifications that are normally implemented into files stored in the SYS format.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hsfhwazl.sys. is used by Conexant Systems SoftK Modem Driver, If you shut down hsfhwazl.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
