What is  hpnra.exe

The hpnra.exe file is connected with the Network Registry Agent software installed in Hewlett Packard (HP) devices. This EXE file makes the HP device drivers respond whenever the user adds components, functions and features to the computer device, like extra output bins and input trays. It has to make sure that all the updates that are installed for the device will be recognized by the drivers. For example, the user adds an envelope feeder. In order for the detect this, the user has to manually adjust the printers section in the Control Panel. However, hpnra.exe provides an Update Now option in the driver’s configuration tab, where the user can use to update the windows registries of the new details installed. To avoid security threats, the hpnra.exe file should be saved in the appropriate folder so as not to be copied by a suspicious file. HP has started integrating the hpnra.exe file or the Network Registry Agent background function in their software drivers in the year 2002.
