What is  hphc_service.exe

The hphc_service.exe file, when executed, launches a process from the company Hewlett-Packard known as HP Support Assistant. This is software that you can download from the HP website. What it does is to provide the system with tools to enhance computer performance by alerting the user about upgrades that may be necessary to boost system performance, as well as alerting users about system issues that it has detected. The file is only applicable to HP computers that run on Windows Operating System. In theory, the file does appear promising, but based on users’ experiences; the upgrades have caused several system issues, instead of its original purpose of resolving them. This being said, the general option of users is to disable the file and remove it from the startup list. The general disk location of the file is C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP Health Check\hphc_service.exe. The file has an average size on disk of 122.55 KB. The process launches through services.exe from Microsoft.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hphc_service.exe. is used by HP Support Assistant, If you shut down hphc_service.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hphc_service.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is HP Support Assistant, from your system.
