What is  hpdarc.exe

The hpdarc.exe file is an executable process that is bundled with the other program files used by the HP CORETECH software. CORETECH stands for Component Reuse Technology, which is a proprietary system developed by Hewlett Packard for their desktops, laptops, notebooks and other devices. The hpdarc.exe process is also known as HP Data Archive Module, which is a program-specific modular resource component that is built into the HP CORETECH software. When activated, the hpdarc.exe process initiates the implementation of the functionalities integrated into the HP Data Archive module unto the system, and the hpdarc.exe process is executed by the HP CORETECH software whenever a user or the system requests for certain features that are associated to the functionalities embedded in the HP data archive module. The hpdarc.exe file, the HP CORETECH software and the HP data archive module are packaged with the firmware and device driver software components of certain HP laptops, desktops and devices.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hpdarc.exe. is used by HP Data Archive Module and HP CORETECH, If you shut down hpdarc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
