HP BTW Detect Program is the service name of the process hpbtwd.exe, which is a type of an executable (EXE) file, and is a part of the program HPSSupply, or HP Driver Diagnostics. HPSSupply or HP Driver Diagnostics is an application that is pre-installed on some models of HP computers, both desktop PCs and laptops or notebooks, and is definitely a part of the utility tool of HP products. This software is a type of an auto detect program for Bluetooth wireless. As it is installed onto the HP computer, the file hpbtwd.exe runs in the background, and provides its function that completes the overall capability of the program that houses it. This kind of executable file is also an instance of a Windows process, which makes it compatible with versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, including Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, and Windows NT.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hpbtwd.exe. is used by HPSSupply or HP Driver Diagnostics, If you shut down hpbtwd.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
