The hpbtnsrv.exe process is an executable file that belongs to the program files used by the HP Easy Backup software, which is an applet or utility program that is bundled with the firmware and device driver software components of certain desktop and laptop computers, hardware components and devices from Hewlett Packard. Specific functionalities implemented into the HP Easy Backup applet can be initialized through the hpbtnsrv.exe process, and this is done by the HP Easy Backup software upon user request. When activated, the hpbtnsrv.exe process calls on other program files and associated modules that need to be referenced by the system and the HP Easy Backup software, in order to perform the requested operations of the user. The hpbtnsrv.exe process contains program logic data that is integrated with source code compilation specifications normally used for content stored in the EXE file format.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hpbtnsrv.exe. is used by HP Easy Backup, If you shut down hpbtnsrv.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hpbtnsrv.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is HP Easy Backup, from your system.
