What is  hpbootop.exe

The process HP Boot Optimizer, installed through the software HP Boot Optimizer, has a file extension of hpbootop.exe. This is the main executable for the software. File location is usually in C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP Boot Optimizer\hpbootop.exe. The file launches upon startup with a process command of “C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP Boot Optimizer\HPBootOp.exe”/run. Based on resources found, the file enables a process that helps the system during the boot-up process by optimizing files and processes included in the startup entries so that boot-up time will be considerably shortened. The file does not appear to be linked to any form of harmful process, as it has not been reported by users as having infected their computer systems with viruses, malware, Trojan, worms or spyware. It also does not appear to misbehave on the system, as it has not been mentioned as consuming too much CPU resources or causing the Blue Screen of Death to appear. The file therefore, is generally regarded as harmless.
