AsEPCMon is the service name of the Windows process hotkeymon.exe, and a part of the program Super Hybrid Engine, which is particularly considered as ASUS ATK Hotkey Utilities, which is created by ASUSTeK Computer. This file is associated with the utility tool of a computer system that can control the usage of special functions keys, and other hotkeys of ASUS laptops and netbooks. Hotkeys and function keys are somewhat important when using a laptop or netbook, as that said, the hotkeymon.exe file is essential, which needs to be kept stored and running on the computer. If this file is stopped or terminated, the usage of function keys and hotkeys is not going to work. Therefore, it is necessary to keep it, once the software is successfully installed on the computer and stored on a file folder location. Upon installation, the hotkeymon.exe file automatically runs in the background during Windows startup.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hotkeymon.exe. is used by Super Hybrid Engine, If you shut down hotkeymon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hotkeymon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Super Hybrid Engine, from your system.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as Super Hybrid Engine, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message.
