The hldasvc.exe file is the process called HDDlife HDD access service that is part of the application HDDlife Pro created by BinarySense. This process file has a digital signature certified by VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer. It is not a visible program. The hldasvc.exe file can hide itself, record inputs and control other programs. HDDlife Pro is a program that lets you check the condition of your hard drive. It is created to warn the user when the hard drive is about to fail in order to backup up files before they are lost. It checks more than 20 parameters of the hard drive and displays the performance, health and select drive information when you first run the program. It also shows percentage bar graphs for performance and health. The conclusion window computes the score. The temperature bar shows the maximum and current temperatures of the drive. There are graphs that show information of the drive free space and capacity. The program uses an icon that shows the current temperature and select data after the drive status has been updated. It uses Internet connection to display the S.M.A.R.T. values of the drive.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hldasvc.exe. is used by HDDlife Pro, If you shut down hldasvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hldasvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is HDDlife Pro, from your system.
