The hidewindow.exe file is a process that is part of the application Hide Window Hotkey created by ElongSoft Software. The program uses an icon on the taskbar. The process file can monitor or control other applications. It is not a system process. It can record inputs. Hide Window Hotkey is a free software for both commercial and non-commercial use. This tool lets you hide Windows applications that run on your screen. It will close or hide some or all programs through the Keyboard Hotkey or Mouse Hotkey to avoid unwanted persons from viewing them. It lets you protect your sensitive information and keep your privacy. The hotkey lets you hide or resume the window when you need to work on the application again. You can set windows automatically to maximize, stay on top, minimize to tray or just normal every time you open them. It also works on Web browsers. It also lets you protect hidden windows by using a password.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hidewindow.exe. is used by Hide Window Hotkey, If you shut down hidewindow.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hidewindow.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Hide Window Hotkey, from your system.
