The executable helper.exe appears to be related to a number of different processes. The two most common however are processes related to a Web browser and to a disk copying software program. To be more specific, some users find it installed as an add-on for their Mozilla Firefox Web browser, while others found it installed through software for disk cloning. For these processes, the file’s common folder destination is C:\Program Files. However, the helper.exe file also appears to be related to a number of viruses. There have been quite a number of reports from users that the helper.exe file found on their machines has been identified by their AV software as a Trojan and spyware. There were reports that the Trojan associated with the helper.exe file appears to have the capability to send stolen bank details of unsuspecting users to a remote computer, where unscrupulous characters are waiting to use the banking details as soon as they receive the information.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. helper.exe. is used by Firefox Add-On, If you shut down helper.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop helper.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Firefox Add-On, from your system.
