The hackmon.exe process is an executable file that serves as the program dispatcher of the UnHackMe software, which is a system security application that was developed by Greatis Software. Version 4 and version 5, particularly later releases of these versions, include the hackmon.exe process in its installer distributions. As a program dispatcher, the hackmon.exe calls on other associated program files, application-specific modules and certain modular system resources when executed, in order to load the UnHackMe software unto the system. The hackmon.exe file is normally found in the same application folder where the UnHackMe software was installed in the system, which is normally a sub directory under the Program Files directory of the system partition. The UnHackMe software is integrated with a set of features that allow users to monitor their systems for rootkits that may be trying to exploit backdoor system vulnerabilities. The hackmon.exe process and the UnHackMe software are embedded with support for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hackmon.exe. is used by UnHackMe, If you shut down hackmon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hackmon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is UnHackMe, from your system.
