Most reviews by users and anti-virus programs identify the grffr83hn.dll file as malware. Microsoft recognizes this file as Trojan:Win32/Ertfor.A. This DLL or dynamic link library file is a BHO [browser helper object] that automatically runs when you launch the Internet browser. Personal firewalls usually do not block activities of BHOs because the firewall detects the BHO as the browser itself. This makes BHOs often used by spyware and adware. There is no visible window for this program. The grffr83hn.dll file is encrypted and/or packed by a software packing process. It hooks itself into running processes to control the system or record mouse activity, keyboard input and screen contents. Malware or malicious software is a program created to steal private or sensitive information, disrupt computer operations or gain access to private systems without the consent of the owner. A Trojan is a type of malware that is not self-replicating. It may seem to perform a desirable action when it actually drops malicious payloads by usually using backdoors to access the target system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. grffr83hn.dll. is used by Trojan:Win32/Ertfor.A, If you shut down grffr83hn.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
