The file googletoolbar3.dll, known as Google IE Client Toolbar, belongs to software Google Toolbar for IE from Google. Google toolbar for Internet Explorer is a handy add-on that makes the browser more useful, easier to use and more productive. It is fully customizable, allowing the user to choose and add the buttons and gadgets that are preferred, and to remove or disable embedded tools that are not needed. Google features a dedicated search window, an effective popup blocker, the form autofiller, and the map tool that automatically links addresses in Web pages to maps. The PageRank that is an advanced feature automatically sends the URL of the Web page being viewed back to Google's servers. Users are allowed to save toolbar settings, and use the toolbar to access bookmarks and custom buttons from any version of IE. The toolbar is an excellent launcher for applications and websites, and can be used without creating a Google account.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. googletoolbar3.dll. is used by Google Toolbar for IE, If you shut down googletoolbar3.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop googletoolbar3.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Google Toolbar for IE, from your system.
