What is  ggviewer.exe

The file ggviewer.exe, known as Google Deskbar, belongs to software Google Deskbar by Google. Google Deskbar is a utility that allows the user to search the Internet without lifting the fingers from the keyboard. The application installs easily in the Windows taskbar, and the installed deskbar can be used to add preferred search engines or to add keyboard shortcuts for searches. This application allows the user to search using Google even when the browser is not running, and to preview search results in a small inset window that closes automatically. The preview window is a mini-browser that opens when the search result is displayed, and it automatically closes when the user goes to another application. Google Deskbar enables the user to use numerous Google search features like Google News, Google Images, and Froogle, or add favorite search engines and Google Desktop Search. The keyboard shortcuts for multiple Google searches are Ctrl+N for Google News, Ctrl+I for Google Images, and Ctrl+F for Froogle.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ggviewer.exe. is used by Google Desktop, If you shut down ggviewer.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
