The file geeksuperherox.dll, known as Popup Slapdown, Phishing Net, and Bug Swatter functions, belongs to software Geek Superhero/Desktop Armor by Headlight Software. Geek Superhero/ Desktop Armor is software that monitors any changes in the computer settings and the programs that may have changed them. It catches changes that may be initiated by a worm, virus, or Trojan, and enables the user to immediately fix the system back to the original settings. Working invisibly in the Web browser, Popup Slapdown is a popup window blocker for Internet Explorer that prevents the loading of annoying windows, alerting the user of the incident with a sound or flashing in the main IE window. Other features include the Phishing Net that alerts the user when a suspicious website is visited, and the Web bug swatter. Web bugs are tiny images that are included in Web pages that load another picture from another website, which in turn allows this website to set a cookie in the computer. The Web bugs are used to track visits and for advertising reasons.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. geeksuperherox.dll. is used by Geek Superhero/ Desktop Armor, If you shut down geeksuperherox.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop geeksuperherox.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Geek Superhero/ Desktop Armor, from your system.
