The file gcs.exe, known as Gnab, belongs to software Gnab Service by Empolis GmbH. Gnab, which is bang spelled backwards, is a P2P Media Exchange and Management Service for the downloading of music, games and movies. In order to access materials from the network, a user must first purchase the rights to download, which is similar to the traditional services. It is a white-label platform for legally distributing digital contents like music, games, videos, or ringtones in an online network. This application combines a central platform with a decentralized peer-to-peer-network. The Gnab Service, which is a P2P download and sharing platform pitched at service providers, secures the protection of all copyrights and supports the rules and regulations of its licensors. The decentralized component of Gnab makes it possible to distribute larger files, for example feature films and games, more efficiently and economically.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. gcs.exe. is used by Gnab Service, If you shut down gcs.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop gcs.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Gnab Service, from your system.
