The file fzshext.dll, known as Explorer shell extension dll, belongs to software Filzip shell extension by Phillip Engel. Filzip is an archiving utility that supports fifteen types of archives such as cab, rar, tar, zip, and many more. It features support for Internet encoded files like uue and xxe, and standard archive operations like add, delete, extract, view files from archives., and other functions like viewing and writing a comment, setting the archive password, renaming files within ZIP archives and defining an external viewing program. The process fzhext.dll is a shell extension program that integrates the software Filzip with Internet Explorer. This shell extension enables the user to extract files from the context menu, or add files directly from Internet Explorer to the zip. The program also features a built-in email client that allows the user to launch the default email client, and the capability to create SFX (self-extracting) archives that enable the user to provide data easily through the Internet.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. fzshext.dll. is used by Filzip, If you shut down fzshext.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop fzshext.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Filzip, from your system.
