The file fssw.exe, known as F-Secure PEX Start-up Wizard, belongs to software F-Secure Personal Express by F-Secure. This software protects laptop and desktop computers against the latest Internet threats. The F-Secure Personal Express client is widely used by ISPs (Internet Service Providers) to protect their customers through real-time virus and spy protection, personal firewall, and parental and spam controls. The software installs without problems, and features a clean interface that shows six major tabbed options for protection, which includes Home, Virus and Spy Protection, Internet Shield, Spam Control, Parental Control, and Automatic Updates. Clicking on any of these options will provide a list of actions that the user can choose for the system. The Virus and Spy Protection includes real-time and scheduled scanning, email scanning, system control, and browser control. The application provides the user with a scanning report for both real-time and scheduled scanning activities.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. fssw.exe. is used by F-Secure Personal Express, If you shut down fssw.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop fssw.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is F-Secure Personal Express, from your system.
