The applications bundles in the Windows Live Essential suite includes the Windows Live Photo Gallery, Sync, Moviemaker, Messenger, Writer, Family Safety, Toolbar, and the Microsoft Office Outlook Connector, Live Add-in, and Silverlight. The file fssbho.dll supports the program Windows Live Family Safety, which is an application that provides protection to children while they are online. This program features the Family Safety Filter that monitors online activities using the Family Safety Settings that are chosen by parents from the Family Safety website. It also features Windows Parental Controls, which is a feature that parents can use to set up safety settings for computers used by children.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. fssbho.dll. is used by Windows Live Family Safety, If you shut down fssbho.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
