What is  fserver.exe

The fserver.exe file is the process called FTP Server MFC Application used by the program FTPServer Application created by VDC Software Solutions. There is no visible window for this program. This process runs when you load Windows. The registry key for this process is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. This process sends or receives data to and from the Internet or LAN using open ports. It is not a system process on Windows. FTP [File Transfer Protocol] server is included in Windows CE. It is created for OEMs [original equipment manufacturers]. FTP is used to copy files to and from computer systems in remote areas through a network using TCP/IP. FTP server supports IPv6. FTP server allows you to transfer files from a device based on Windows CE to desktop computer using TCP/IP connection. It supports creation of virtual directories under FTP root directory. It allows you to use Web-based network configuration tool to accomplish configuration tasks. FTP Server is loaded and installed as service using Services.exe.

How can I stop fserver.exe and should I?

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. fserver.exe. is used by FTPServer Application, If you shut down fserver.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
