The file fppdis1.exe, known as FinePrint pD Factory, belongs to software FinePrint pDFactory by FinePrint Software. FinePrint pDFactory is software that publishes documents to PDF format. PDF (portable document format) is used to represent documents in a way that is independent of the application software, hardware, and operating system used. It is a flat, fixed-layout document, including the font, graphics, test and other information needed to display it. The pDFactory software has a PDF buttton that can convert any document to PDF with one click. It has the capability to combine multiple files from multiple sources into one PDF document, and enables the user to preview the created file without having to save and open in Adobe Acrobat. Other features of the pDFactory include encryption and access control to the PDF file to maintain security, and the drag and drop tool that integrates with Gmail, Evernote, and other cloud-based facilities. The created PDF file can be sent through email by copying it to a clipboard or pasting it into an existing email.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. fppdis1.exe. is used by pDFactory, If you shut down fppdis1.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop fppdis1.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is pDFactory, from your system.
