The fortiproxy.exe file is the process called FortiClient Proxy Service belonging to the application FortiClient Endpoint Security developed by Fortinet. This is not a visible process. The program sends or receives data to and from the Internet or LAN using open ports. It is a non-system process. You can access the program FortiClient Endpoint Security on Windows Control Panel. FortiClient offers threat protection for your computer system from Fortinet. It is a security suite that protects your computer from worms, Trojans and viruses. FortiClient is a client-based application that is used in connection with FortiGate devices to enable security features such as WAN Optimization and Endpoint Control for enterprise computers. The set includes anti-virus, anti-spyware, VPN [SSL and IPSec], Web filtering, personal firewall and anti-spam. FortiClient has access to protection with constant updates on real time basis to combat new and current threats.
